BOK BOK BOK

The story of "BOK BOK BOK"

First, let me start off by saying how excited I am to be out of school (well, work) for 2 weeks. The feelings I am having right now include relief, exhaustion, thrill and pure joy. Things have been so crazy at school lately, that everyone seems to be going a little crazy. This is where my story comes in. The second graders (the ones that I work with) have been practicing for their Christmas program at the beginning of the week and last week. They recently had 3 performances on Tuesday and Wednesday (combined). Anyway, they sang this song called "Grandma's Chicken Soup". Basically, many times throughout the song it says..."Chicken Soup, Bok bok bok, Chicken Soup...bok, bok, bok"...etc. I have heard it so many times that I told my co-workers that when I am committed to the mental hospital, that I'll be saying "bok bok bok" over and over again. Not once did I mention this to any of the kids (not that they'd understand it anyway).

Ready for the funny part?? Today, when I started getting fed up with the kids going wild in the cafeteria, I said, "You guys are driving me crazy!" to which the reply from one kid was "Chicken Soup, bok bok bok."

So hilarious! So... hopefully I've avoided the mental hospital for now (as it is now Christmas break), but don't be too surprised when I am committed to hear "bok bok bok" coming from me when you visit. :)
